Our Optometrist - Dr. Tyah Johnson

Born and raised at home in Lubbock, Dr. Tyah Johnson's interest in vision and eye health started young. From wearing glasses and contacts at a young age to working at a private optometry practice while attending Texas Tech University, Dr. Johnson has always been learning about optimal eye health. Since, she's earned a Doctorate of Optometry from the Illinois College of Optometry and has become a therapeutic and glaucoma certified optometrist.

Her training also includes multiple externships across optometry specialties: low vision in Wheaton, IL, pediatric and vision therapy in Springfield, MO, ocular disease in Brooklyn, NY, and contact lenses and dry eye in Austin, TX. As such, Dr. Tyah Johnson brings a wellspring of knowledge across many conditions. Not only has her training prepared her for the varied and unique challenges of primary eye care, but she's just as well-versed in the latest technological advancements to both diagnose and treat eye disease.
